Create Lot Lines Using Right-of-way
These functions allow a user to layout lots based on the
right-of-way or a road,
starting from an existing lot line, or intersection.
If the lots are to start from an
existing property line or previous lot, the
first lot created will have standard side
setbacks. If the lots are to start
from a road intersection, the first lot created
will have a corner side
setback that creates a lot that is typically wider than a standard
lot.
These functions are useful for those occasions where an offset
from the desired base-line is
not desired. Examples are anytime where
the right-of-way is not always parallel to the road
centerline (TND layouts,
traffic-calmed areas, cul-de-sacs, etc). Or when laying out something
other
than residential lots (eg parking stalls, marina slips, townhomes,
etc)
